Rachel and I went to Color Me Mine this afternoon to pick up the pieces we painted last week. Here is Rachel's kitty that she painted with help from Gramma, she creatively named her kitty, "Cupcake".

- I am a stay at home wife and mom to my husband of twenty seven years, and our two daughters, Rachel and Hannah. I initially started blogging when Rachel was born with a cleft lip and palate and needed a place to journal and keep family and friends up to date with her progress and surgeries. Having enjoyed keeping a blog for Rachel, I went on to start a blog for Hannah, and then one for myself. But I've neglected those blogs for reasons unbeknownst to me, despite my love for writing and sharing our adventures, milestones, and my thoughts.

Cupcake looks great, Rachel! You did an amazing job!!! Way to go!
Very cute!! Hey Darcy -- I was wondering if you could give me some insight into how Rachel's speech progressed after her palate surgery. Drew is right at a month post-palate surgery and everthing he says still sounds like "ma." He tries to say da-da and ball and other stuff, but everything still has that "m" sound. I thought you might be able to remember how long it took Rachel to learn the p, b, and d sounds. Feel free to email me at lifewithdrew@gmail.com.
