- I am a stay at home wife and mom to my husband of twenty eight years, and our two daughters, Rachel and Hannah. I initially started blogging when Rachel was born with a cleft lip and palate and needed a place to journal and keep family and friends up to date with her progress and surgeries. Having enjoyed keeping a blog for Rachel, I went on to start a blog for Hannah, and then one for myself. But I've neglected those blogs for reasons unbeknownst to me, despite my love for writing and sharing our adventures, milestones, and my thoughts.

Wow, she really looks a lot like Hannah in this picture!
Hi Darcy, I just wanted to thank you for your lovely comment on my blog.
Your daughters are beautiful, and no doubt strong with all they've been through in their young lives. I have a child who also has dealt with health problems since virtually day one, and he is resilient, patient, and wise.
When kids can look back and see what they've conquered, the road ahead is less intimidating. I think God plans great things for kids like these. He has great plans for all of us, but sometimes I think strife is how the natural leaders are born.
